10-06-05: 300 Join in Governor's Call To Action on E-Health
Over 300 individuals from across Arizona joined in
Governor Janet Napolitano's Call to Action Summit on
E-Health Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005.
National and local experts in health and technology
spent the day discussing key issues regarding the
creation and implementation of electronic medical
records.
"We are off to a good start in creating a meaningful
public/private partnership to tackle this important
issue," said State CIO Chris Cummiskey, co-chair of
the Governor's Health-e Connection Steering
Committee.
Created by
Executive Order on
September 1st, the forty member committee will be
meeting over the next six months to create a roadmap for E-health connectivity
in Arizona.
