Participate in Teleconference on Telework Job Creation in Rural America
(PHOENIX – June 24, 2002) The State of Arizona will participate in a videoconference June 25 covering how telecommuting, or telework, can help bring work to rural America. The videoconference is taking place at five interactive sites throughout the state. Broadcast across the country, the videoconference will discuss how computers, Internet and modern telecommunications can help diversify the economies of rural communities through telework job creation.
APS Community Development and Cox Business Services are sponsoring five Arizona sites for this satellite-broadcast. Washington State University, supported by a USDA grant, is putting on this seminar highlighting case studies of enhanced economic development through telecommunications.
