Draft 2009 AZ Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP)

Third Public Review

Draft 2009 Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan The Public Safety Interoperable Communications Office (PSIC) is accepting feedback regarding Arizona's Draft 2009 Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP). The Arizona SCIP serves as a reference for public safety officials by describing the status of interoperable communications throughout the state and by documenting the specific goals and objectives the state has established to improve public safety communications.

This is the third public review period. We ask that you submit written comments by January 4, 2010 to pscc@azgita.gov in order for us to timely address any concerns.

Background

The draft SCIP includes changes focusing on:

  1. Enhancing readability, accuracy, and applicability of the SCIP;
  2. Updating strategic plan initiatives as approved by the PSCC on May 19, 2009;
  3. Maintaining conformance to OEC SCIP Criteria (2007); and
  4. Ensuring alignment with the National Emergency Communications Plan (NECP).

We realize the SCIP is large in nature and we appreciate any comments/feedback you may have either on the sections that pertain to your area of subject matter expertise or the entire document.
