Typography (Fonts)

Back to style guide

pc fonts -or- mac fonts

BankGothic:

Verdana:

Typography is another cornerstone of our visual vocabulary. Together with the signature and corporate colors, typography creates a distinctive style for personality and character. Limiting the number of typefaces to only two or three creates consistency, which increases the sites usability and reinforces the brand identity. It also helps to reduce clutter that can result when too many typefaces are used. Sans Serif fonts have been chosen to ensure readability on state websites.  Sans Serif fonts are those without “tails”, and are more easily read on a computer screen.  To ensure maximum readability, use black text on a white background.

  • Bank Gothic is used for the agency branding copy, such as taglines.

  • Verdana is rendered in html and used for all copy and navigation.
