Chief Information Officer Council - CIO

The CIO Council is a working technical advisory committee organized to provide advice and support for Statewide information technology issues. It also serves as a forum for reviewing information technology subjects that have common or universal interest for the several executive branch agencies. The Council advises the Government Information Technology Agency (GITA) as required on technical standards as well reporting progress on specific projects. GITA in turn, uses the meeting as a means of communicating status on its projects and issues of concern. Council Task Teams may be periodically organized to explore technical subjects and come up with recommendations for the State CIO and GITA Director.

Membership

Council membership presently stands at twenty-nine members. The representatives come primarily from the agencies that have large and strategic investments in information technology.
